Upcoming Site of a Future Gulf Shores Alabama Resident

I don't know exactly when or how, but one day soon, I will permanently plant my toes in the sandy shores of Gulf Shores, Alabama.  Progress, or setbacks, will be recorded at this site.

Until such time, I need a reminder that:

Sandy Feet are Happy Feet

and

Salty Feet are Happy Feet

At the time this page is being created, Gulf Shores is in the process of recovery from the devastation of Hurricane Ivan.  I would love to be there to help with the healing process, but as a non-property owner and *person from away,* my presence is not welcome or allowed at this time.

To those of you who are there with out power, water or the other comforts of day to day life in this century, know that my heart, my prayers and my Red Cross donations are with you.  I shall return when I am able and allowed.

Until such time as this site goes live, feel free to read the observations of a distant friend of Gulf Shores on my regular blog:

catartis.com

Look under the “Beaches” or “Hurricanes” categories for information and links.

You can also visit one of my older travel pages. (I really need to put pictures from later trips online one day.)

The trip where I first fell head over heels in love with Gulf Shores

The first Christmas we spent in Gulf Shores, Alabama
(Yes, I realize the condo we stayed in that winter was really in Orange Beach. But we had already fallen in love with the Little Lagoon area of West Beach and on later trips we have stayed there. *smile*)

I also have a page of various links of interest for new or potential Gulf Shores visitors.

Until we meet again,
